Practical Training : RS & Co.

Assalamualaikum,

As a final year students of  Bachelor in Accountancy at UiTM Campus Arau, it is a compulsory for us to undergo a practical training for a period of six months! Actually I've started my practical in early of February, now is my fourth month in RS & Co. Which means i have another two more months to go before going back to arau and finish my final semester.

Oh wait, didn't I say I was a final year students just now? So what the heck i need going back to arau and finish my final semester?! Well my dear, im not sure about other university, but here in UiTM, for an accounting students we need to undergo a practical training in the middle of semester. Well not so middle, actually we did on our second last semester. So i have more ways to go before graduating.

Enough with the explanation. So how was my practical? It was hell good as it seems. Frankly speaking I didn't really enjoy much in terms of the environment because with a small firm, they tend to have a problem to recruit a permanent staffs, So, during my time, there was no permanent staff that could actually guide me as a trainee. Its more to self  independence. However, despite all the lack that the firm has, i have to agree that actually I did learned a lot of things, probably more than the others who might get a chance to practical in those BIG 4! So, I still have the merits by having my practical here.

I'm not gonna talk much about the firm as i  have no rights to do so. But if you seek my opinion about RS & Co, well  i would say its a good place to learn. All you need to do is to be confident and try to catch up as fast as you can since you need to learn everything by yourself. Supervisor will assist you in your first trial of course, but do you think he want to assist you for the rest of six months?

So, i hope my journey in RS & Co will end smoothly. I miss my arau friends! Cant wait to meet them again.
